Michaela Jamieson, M.S.
Licensed Professional Counselor
Michaela Jamieson earned her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has worked in the mental health related services for approximately ten years.
Reisha Jack, M.S.
Reisha Jack received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis, where she also received her Bachelor’s degree. As a Counselor, Ms. Jack comes to MHR with prior experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis patients in an IOP suboxone setting.
Leah Bearman-Pinkston, M.A.
Leah Bearman-Pinkston, M.A., earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver with an Addiction specialization. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with an Addictions specialization.She has provided individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her experience includes working with homeless men and women struggling with alcohol and drug addictions, providing individual and family therapy as needed.
Anne Knight, L.C.S.W
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Anne Knight, LCSW, received her Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee. Among her many accomplishments, she has served as the Director of Individual and Group Therapy for a local community agency and was the Treatment Program Director at a local medication assistance treatment program. She has provided direct clinical services throughout her career and has considerable addiction and dual diagnosis experience. Her special interests include women’s issues, co-dependency and co-occurring disorders.
Irfan Ali, M.D.
Board Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Ali received his medical training in 1989 from the Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan, followed by a surgery residency. He then served as a Medical Officer in hospital settings until 1994, at which time he was accepted at the University of Tennessee Psychiatry Residency Program.
Carl Da Cunha, M.D.
Board Certified Psychiatrist
Carl Da Cunha, M.D., completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee in 1991 and is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology. He has extensive experience working with veterans and their families at the Memphis V.A., where he was an attending psychiatrist, Clinical Manager of their Partial Hospitalization Program, Chairman of Quality Council and Medical Director for the Mental Health Intensive Case Management Intervention Team and Day Treatment Center Programs. Dr. Da Cunha specializes in the treatment of adult mood disorders and is currently in full time private practice.
Edward A. Wise, Ph.D.
Licensed Health Service Provider in Psychology and President as well as founder of Mental Health Resources, PLLC.
Dr. Wise received his Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming. He has been in practice for over 25 years, treating individuals in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings.
MHR’S Business Office Staff
Lisa oversees our daily office operations, including Billing, Collections and Patient Accounts. Lisa has over 15 years of experience in various medical settings, including rehabilitation, oncology and mental health.
General Office Clerk
Angel is cross trained as our Receptionist, Insurance and Data Entry Clerk. She has extensive customer service experience and has worked in another mental health setting as a front desk receptionist. Prior to that, she held a managerial position at a local small business.
Assistant Office Manager
Dee White is our Assistant Office Manager. She has worked for 15 years as the Office Manager at a very busy primary care clinic where she supervised two receptionists, two medical billers and two medical records clerks. Prior to that, she worked as the Office Manager at a nursing home (7 years) as well as a durable medical equipment company (6 years). In addition to nearly 30 years of managerial experience, she also extensive medical billing experience. In fact, she has either supervised or functioned as the primary biller in her previous positions. She is a “hands on” manager who is team player and believes in cross training, whether that requires manning the front desk, getting the billing tasks completed, or “doing whatever is needed”.
Patient Account Representative
Dorothy Macon, a Patient Account Representative, first started working in an Orthopedic office nearly 20 years ago as a Receptionist and eventually became the Biller and then Office Manager. She then ventured away from healthcare and has worked in various customer service settings related to account follow up in finance. She recently went back to school to complete her AA degree in Medical Billing and Coding, her true passion.
